What is an Improper fraction?

How can we convert Improper fractions to Mixed fractions?

We first need to divide the numerator by the denominator. Then, we will need to note down the quotient and the remainder. We then use the remainder as the new numerator with the quotient as the whole number.

Let us consider an example of 15/7

If we divide 13 by 5, we get 2 as the quotient and 1 as the remainder (2R1).

We can then just make the remainder as the new numerator and append the quotient as the whole number.
